Budapest – Three

One more day until the wedding we were invited to. It also meant it was our last day to enjoy a full day exploring Budapest. We decided we would focus on the area around the Hungarian Parliament Building first. It had been quite a while since we were actually there. And we were pleasantly surprised. It looks really nice and it has some great streets around it to get lost.

We had a quick stop at CEU as well. Had a look at the amazing interior of the building, drank some really nice coffee and enjoyed the amazing view from the rooftop. Sadly the afternoon was coming to an end already. But the prospect of having dinner with friends that night made up for it. We had one last look at the Donau crossing the Freedrom Bridge (Szabadság híd) before making our way back, passing the Great Market Hall (Nagyvásárcsarnok), to our Airbnb. I want to go back! And luckily we will. I can’t wait for the summer holiday and show the kids this amazing city as well. 🙂
